West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been invited to deliver lectures not only at the University of Oxford but also at a total of three prestigious educational institutions in the United Kingdom. These include Queen Mary University of London and a group of alumni from the London School of Economics.
The state government provided this information on Tuesday. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is scheduled to deliver a speech at Kellogg College, University of Oxford, on March 27. Her lecture will be on the topic "Social Development: Child and Women Empowerment." She has been invited not just as a Chief Minister or a politician but also as a writer.
According to a statement from the state government, in February this year, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University praised Bengal's new model of development and progress and invited Mamata Banerjee to share her experiences at Kellogg College. Following this, at the beginning of this month, Diptenu Roy, an alumnus of the London School of Economics, invited the Chief Minister to deliver a lecture on social development and women empowerment.
The latest invitation came on Monday from Sophia Colignon, Director of the Mile End Institute at Queen Mary University of London. At this discussion event to be held at Chatham House, the Chief Minister has been invited to shed light on her government's women empowerment policies, political strategies, and governance model in front of teachers, researchers, and students.
